All controls are working well and the included mic is in very nice shape. This recorder was a half- track mono machine with a 7 reel capacity and three tape speeds:15, 7 & 3 ips. The quarterinch, quartertrack format was also used for semipro fourchannel multitrack recorders, with the tape only running in one direction, usually at 7.5ips or faster. WORKING CONDITION: Fair- Motors are a bit sluggish and the heads are quite worn but the speaker works, so does the playback and record functions, though the machine will likely need to be serviced before it can be used in a professional setting. Like many small British manufacturers in the late 1950s, Wyndsor built their recorders around an existing transport mechanism in the case of this Viscount, it was the Collaro Mk IV transcription unit. The machine itself has some faint scratches if you inspect it closely but overall it's in very good physical condition! The vinyl covering has a few scratches, tears and scuffs here and there but it still looks great. PHYSICAL CONDITION: Very Good - The case shows normal wear for a vintage piece of gear.
